DGFT notifies norms for import of calcined, raw pet coke for 2022-23

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade on Thursday said it has notified the process of quota allocation for import of calcined pet coke for use in aluminum industry and crude pet coke for CPC manufacturing industry for 2022-23. In a notification, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said that the imports would be subject to the guidelines laid down by the environment ministry.

The process of quota allocation for import of calcined pet coke for use in aluminum industry and crude pet coke for CPC manufacturing industry for 2022-23 has been notified.

It said all eligible entities who want to avail the quota should apply for an import license with a State Pollution Control Board certificate.

It said, "The complete online application along with required documents... should be submitted on or before February 28, 2022."

If after obtaining the license or permission for 2022-23, the importer cannot use/import the entire quantity for which the license has been issued, the applicant may apply through email on or before 31st December to facilitate delivery. Will inform DGFT about it. of unutilized quota to other applicants.

"Failure and non-surrender to utilize the allocated quantity will disqualify the applicant for future quota and the unused quantity will be deducted from their entitlement," the directorate said.
